Cha Ya

Had dinner at Cha YA last night . I had always been curious about this vegan Japanese food location.
It was great but a little on the pricey side.

The above picture is a signature roll called the "Cha Ya roll"  it includes yam and veggies and then fried with a tempura batter. It was delicious and I will definitely head back to try some other items.

  1. quick Q. I LOVE your smoothies so much and I put spinach in my "merely mortal" blender as you suggested and it worked! next challenge is kale but I am afraid it may not work - will let you know. The green color did scare Violet a little but once she tried it she was in. I love this sneaky approach to eating more greens for both me and v. Steve is still a but suspicious... Also, I know you use apple juice to sweeten is but I only had carrot juice today and it worked great. My q is what type of rice protein are you using? - it actually makes the smoothies taste a little better..

  3. This looks AMAZING. I was linked to your blog by Laina at Creative Circle and as an aspiring vegan (and current vegetarian that stays away from milk and eggs for the MOST part...) this is very inspiring. Thanks!

  4. Thanks Jaime! I like to think of it is a 'best of'. I only post things that turn out great, are easy and that have been helpful to me. I love feed back. I often hear "that is so hard" in regard to being vegan and you know what ? it really isn't , so I am so excited to share.

  5. I went to Cha Ya but the experience was not particularly memorable and I can't recall a thing we ate. I think I need to give it another try sometime.
